I hope everyone had a killer weekend and your ready to take this week head on.
This weekend I felt like we just got sh** done! We hung out with friends, relaxed, I read this awesome book, got our sweat on, the grinch aka Matt took down our Christmas decorations, and we finished all the grocery shopping for the week. Minus the fact my Steelers lost, it was a success.
Anyways, I wanted to share with you guys my morning detox drink. I have this before anything else in the morning.
You can find me traveling with the ingredients in my purse (no joke).
Benefits of this drink are AWESOME
> detoxifies the body
> jump starts the metabolism
> prepares the body for digestion (Vitamin B6)
> helps to brighten your skin
> boosts mineral absorption
> boosts your immune system (high in vitamin C)
Need I say more?
My morning honestly feels incomplete without this detox drink, and it gives me that morning boost I always need.
Let me breakdown the ingredients:
Morning Detox Drink
1 cup boiling water
1/2 – 1 lemon
2 pinches of cayenne pepper
Directions: Juice 1/2 or a whole lemon (totally your preference) into your favorite mug (or travel mug if you are on your way to work), add 2 pinches of cayenne pepper, mix up the lemon & cayenne with a spoon, then pour your boiling water on top.
FYI: I add A LOT of cayenne pepper to mine, but start small (2 pinches), and if you like it more spicy, add more! I love mine with a huge kick. Play around with it, make it your own based on what you like.
Sometimes right before this I like to take my ACV shot too!
Basically it’s the perfect way to start your day!
